Five Easy and Free Ways to Help Shalhevet
As with most private schools, tuition only
covers about 80% of the actual cost of educating a student. We rely on
grants and annual fundraising to fill that budgetary gap.We know that if you had the money and resources, you would all give as much as you can to help sustain Shalhevet. But we also know that times are tough and you are making tremendous sacrifices to ensure your child gets the best Jewish and general education possible. So here is a list of five easy and free ways you can help Shalhevet just by searching the web and buying the things you normally buy. We ask that you consider these options when buying supplies, groceries and almost everything else. 1. EARN SHALHEVET MONEY JUST BY SEARCHING THE WEB! What if SHALHEVET earned a donation every time you searched the Internet? Or how about if a percentage of every purchase you made online went to support our cause? Well, now it can! GoodSearch.com is a new Yahoo-powered search engine that donates half its advertising revenue, about a penny per search, to the charities its users designate. Use it just as you would any search engine, get quality search results from Yahoo, and watch the donations add up! GoodShop.com is a new online shopping mall which donates up to 37 percent of each purchase to your favorite cause! Hundreds of great stores including Amazon, Target, Gap, Best Buy, ebay, Macy's, Apple, iTunes and Barnes & Noble have teamed up with GoodShop and every time you place an order, you’ll be supporting your favorite cause. Just go to www.goodsearch.com or www.goodshop.com and be sure to enter SHALHEVET as the charity you want to support. Please help us spread the word! 2. SAVE GAS. SAVE TIME. RAISE MONEY! Every time you shop at any of 700+ online stores in the iGive.com network, a portion of the money you spend benefits Shalhevet School. It's a free service, and you'll never pay more when you reach a store through iGive. In fact, smart shoppers will enjoy iGive's discounts, repository of coupons, free shipping deals and sales. SHOP YEAR ROUND AT OFFICE DEPOT – 5% OF ALL PURCHASES GO BACK TO SHALHEVET Every time you shop at Office Depot, use Shalhevet’s ID# 70201550 at the register and they will give Shalhevet 5% of all purchases made. 4. HELP SHALHEVET JUST BY SHOPPING AT RALPHS Every time you shop at Ralphs and use your Ralphs Rewards card, Ralphs will donate a percentage to the school. Starting August 31, 2010, all you need to do is hand your Ralphs Reward card to the cashier and give them our Organization NPO# 84712, and they will take care of the rest. This is a one-time set-up so that every time you shop at Ralphs you automatically will benefit Shalhevet. How easy is that? 5. eSCRIP - REGISTER YOUR CREDIT CARD, WHENEVER YOU USE IT AT A PARTICIPATING STORE THEY AUTOMATICALLY GIVE A PERCENTAGE TO SHALHEVET.
