Tuition Assistance

Since its inception, Shalhevet High School has been committed to providing tuition assistance to families, based upon documented need, as a supplement to family resources. We encourage all parents to carefully evaluate their own ability to pay school costs and expect families to contribute to the educational cost of their child at the highest possible level, given their economic situation. All tuition assistance is given in the form of grants, which do not have to be repaid.

An application for tuition assistance will not prejudice an application for admission. Decisions regarding amounts of financial assistance are determined by the Tuition Assistance Committee after the Admissions Committee determines eligibility for admission. All tuition assistance information is kept in the strictest confidence.

In order for us to allocate our limited tuition assistance resources fairly, the Board of Directors has instituted the following policies:
  • All families, both new and returning, that wish to be considered for tuition assistance must comply with the tuition assistance procedures in a timely fashion and provide all required documentation.
  • Shalhevet uses TADS, an outside service to assist the Tuition Assistance Committee in determining equitable tuition assistance.
  • All financial obligations for current or past years need to be paid in full in order for a tuition assistance application to be reviewed.
