Director of College Counseling and Academic Guidance

Jordan Moss is excited to join the Shalhevet community! He grew up in Cleveland, Ohio, and then moved to St. Louis, Missouri, to attend Washington University for his bachelor's degree. After graduating, he gave back to his alma mater by working as Senior Associate Director of Undergraduate Admissions. As part of this job, he served on various scholarship and admissions committees. Jordan later assisted Stanford University, UCLA, and Yale University's undergraduate admissions office with evaluating freshman applications.

Jordan earned his Master's degree in Marital Family Therapy and his Pupil Personnel Services credential in school counseling at the University of Southern California, where he was an endowed scholar. During graduate school, Jordan worked in USC's student-athlete tutorial program where he tutored Division I athletes. He is a licensed Marital Family Therapist.

Jordan spent 4 years at Brentwood School as Associate Director of College Counseling, where he has thoroughly enjoyed helping students and families as they navigate the college process. Prior to this position, he was Associate Director of College Counseling and Academic Planning at Milken Community Schools. While at Milken, Jordan also worked closely with students with learning differences as the Services with Student Disability Coordinator for the College Board. As a college counselor, his goal is to empower adolescents and help them feel confident in their decisions. He loves soccer, Cleveland sports, and spending time with his wife and two- and four-year-old daughters in his spare time.
