The Boiling Point

The Boiling Point is the eight-time award-winning, student-produced newspaper of Shalhevet High School. It is published in print at least four times per year and this year they published 212, their first literary magazine.

Unsigned editorials represent the majority view of the members of the Editorial Board, which consists of the Co-Editors-in-Chief, Web Editor-in-Chief, Community Editor, Opinion Editor, and the Faculty Adviser, Ms. Joelle Keene.

In addition, the Boiling Point and Shalhevet are home to the Jewish Scholastic Press Association (JSPA), founded in 2013, which works to improve journalism in Jewish high schools and to teach students in any school how to bring Jewish thought and ethics into newsroom decision-making. JSPA this spring is the recipient of a two-year, $90,000 grant from the Lippman Kanfer Foundation for Living Torah, based in New York.
